Lately I have been desperate to a bit of home DIY. You might say I became a bit desksparate. I wanted to create a home office….a space to work but also a space to blog. Over the years I have inherited a lot furniture from other people and my last space wasn’t so inspiring, hence whenever I had to work at home I didn’t want to sit there for very long. And when it came to blogging, well it was hardly an inspiration.
So I created a space. Inspired by all things ‘desk’ and ‘creative space’ and ‘mood board’ (love a mood board) on Instagram I set about creating a space that was all mine. I wanted a desk that was not only functional but also said ‘creative’, ‘inspire’ and ‘relaxation’.
So here is my little zen garden/functional space/colourful creative space in my spare room.
The desk was purchased from Officeworks, the drawers and chair, from Ikea. So overall didn’t spend a fortune and ended up with exactly the right sized furniture for the space. I had to DIY putting it together but even had fun doing that with a glass of wine and re-runs of The Block!
No plants were harmed in the making of this desk……..
